I finally finished the first book. As compared to the other books we've read, this was the first book I hadn't seen a movie on. I found my imagination having to work a little harder which I think is good. I'm looking forward to the next one which, by the way, I have seen the movie.

I finished "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" in one day-yeah! I'm sure I didn't catch all of the symbolism but what I did made me really think. CS Lewis must have been a very spiritual person. I think the grandkids would really enjoy this book.

I have read almost everything up to The Silver Chair, I have only finished 1/2 of Prince Caspian.

I was told The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was boring, but I thought it was exciting. I did not see much symbolism in this one as I did the other books. My favorite book so far in the series has been The Horse and His Boy. I love the symbolism in this book.

In The Horse and His Boy, my favorite quote is by Aslan when he says, "You shall not always be an ass." I think this applies to many people in the family (myself included).

The movies are very different than the books and I did not realize this until rereading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. There is a lot of dialogue that is different. They added a lot and took out some. I still like both though.

Did anyone finish all 7 books? I still have one left but I want to start the next book--A Christmas Carol so we will have to see.

I finished all 7 books. I could have killed the Ape. I was glad that he was taken care of. It's a great example of what happens when we don't follow the Savior. They were great books. Thanks for coming late Teddy. :)

The Silver Chair was good. It's amazing to me how much the witch and Satan are the same. The temptations are the same. The witch would say anything to get them forget and Satan does the same thing.

Prince Caspian is so different from the movie. I liked the book a lot better.

I finished all 7. I think my favorite part was when he described death. I hope it will be like that. CS Lewis seemed to be very inspired in his writing.

I finally finished Narnia!! I really enjoyed them all. The symbolism was amazing. They were a fun read. In fact, I've stopped reading my scriptures and am now studying Narnia. Ha, Ha. TJ's arranging for me to talk in church and bear my testimony on the truthfullness of Narnia.
