The Hiding Place

I have read this book several times however it is one that you continue to learn from. There were new things that touched me that I couldn't remember from the previous readings. I think if we could all be like Betsy this world would be a way better place.

This was a good book. I did struggle with it for the fact that this really happened and that people could treat other people that way. That makes me sick. I thought it was amazing how Betsie and Corrie handled it. They are inspirational. I'm also grateful for the freedoms we enjoy. We are blessed!

I couldn't believe the hardships they went through. I think it's awe inspiring to think they trusted in God the whole time. I read "Knight" in another book club a year or two ago and the guy believed in God, but after being the concentration camp for so long doesn't believe anymore. It made me think what do I do in my adversities? I agree Wendi, I don't know how anyone could treat anyone else so heartless. I loved the line that said something like: There are no ifs with God. We are always in his palm. I really enjoyed reading this book. This is a book that we now want to buy.
